Color Theory and Emotional Effects

1.    Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting.
The properties of color are hue, intensity, value, HVI, and schemes. There are two color systems which are additive color and subtractive color. Additive color deals with mixing light and subtractive color uses dyes and pigments. Color evokes emotional responses, colors can be symbolic or sets different moods. For example in the western culture the color blue is associated with boys and pink with girls. Red can symbolize anger or love and yellow can symbolize  cowardice and ill health.
2.    What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why?
The fact that we don’t see things but we see light, objects don’t have an appearance without light. The objects absorb or reflect light for certain colors to appear. This intrigues me because it is science.
3.    In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
The white black round reflects light to make to colors brighter. Color keeps paintings alive and evokes certain moods.
4.    In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
Art shows what civilizations yearn for. Feelings are our path forward. Reason through color and shapes releases feeling.
