wk 11 video blog

1.    For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
The key concept of Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T.J. Clark is that writing analyst of art criticism is different from what they are today. The key concept of An Introduction to the Italian Renaissance is there has to artists where all others learn from. The key concept of The Colonial Encounter: Views of Non Western Art and Culture is the image of the new France and the image of the colonies were not coherent or consistent.
2.    Do the videos relate to the creation of your Art Criticism project? If yes, explain how. If no, explain why not.
Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T.J. Clark does relate to my creation because it is about art criticism and I interpreted and critiqued the pieces I used. An Introduction to the Italian Renaissance doesn’t relate to my creation because I don’t have any pieces from the Italian Renaissance. The Colonial Encounter: Views of Non Western Art and Culture does relate to my creation because the video mentions that the colonies in Frances were in war with each other.
3.    What is your opinion of the films? Do they add depth to understanding of art criticism?
I thought Greenberg on Art Criticism: An Interview by T.J. Clark was dull it was hard to hear and didn’t really add depth to my understanding of art criticism. I thought A Introduction to the Italian Renaissance and The Colonial Encounter: Views of Non Western Art and Culture were interesting and it did add depth to my understanding of art criticism.
